BW 3.5 to Bi 7.0

Hi ,

In Technical Upgrade: : In Development System

What happens when the inactive objects (Installed but inactive- Multiproviders,Cubes,Infosets) have been *upgraded to BI 7.0 from BW 3.5*

what about to the Web Applications ?

what about to the Web Reports ?

what about to the Web Items ?

Could any one help me in each of the query

Hi,

If you find any Inactive objects after upgradation you need to activate it. for these kind of issues we have "preupgradation tasks" by doing that we can avoid the inactive objects after upgradation or we can activate after upgradation.

the Web templates need to be opened in BI 7.0 WAD and then be migrated. The migration process will not delete the Template in 3.x can be used.

There are some disadvantages in migrating if you have custom developed the web templates that wont be supported in BI 7.0 .
