ODS remodeling (remove characteristic how-to)

I need to remove characteristic from ODS. How can I do it?

Hi Gediminas,

Right click on the ODS -> Change -> Remove the char.

i've already tried it

Right-click -> Change -> and I can't remove any. The only thing I can do is Cut (to Move Only)

Then I go to remodeling I can choose only an InfoCube, not an ODS

AFIK you have to delete the data from the ODS before you can delete the characteristic, even though it is not a key field. But maybe Raj has some other solution?

OK, remodeling is not supported for ODS objects, only for cubes.

I think you can add a field without dropping data. But for removing u need to drop the data.

depends on if the characteristic is a key field or data field.

if it is a key, you need to delete the data in order for you to delete the characteristic.

if it is a data field, then there is no need to delete data.

goto manage, and then do the change.
