Error during Conntrans import phase

Hi,

I got an error during the import phase of Conntrans.

The progress bar was red in colour and the details of the error was 'One or more errors during data import,contact system administrator'. Also IPC was not started on the system. When I try to start it, it won't work and return back to old state - 'IPC not started' .

Normally if there is an import failure, the progress bar will be 'Yellow' but in your case its 'Red'.

1) I hope you have applied the hotfixes 1071267 / Note 1028225 (whichever is applicable to your release).

You can also try the below options:

2) Run table script generation for all the tables

3) Generate Metadata for all the BDocs

For 2 & 3, make sure you have the Unicode checkbox checked/unchecked based on whether you have a Unicode client/non-unicode client.

Check if you are getting the same errors again after 1,2 & 3.

If you get then have a look at the logs in TL_TRACE.DAT file (which will normally be present under %temp% directory).
