hi,

> Form ECC 5.0 MMPV is used for both closing/opening at the same time...Before this there were two different trasactions for the same process...so we can say that MMPV is for opening also...

It depends on the last open period in the OMSY...

If its 05 2008, then in MMPV you can open for 06 2008....

Postings are possible in the current periods only...

So if yu want to post GR, IR, GI etc then open your periods till current period ie. oct month...

Hope it helps...

i am pretty much confused in this posting period thing

please guide a bit

suppose current month is 10th and in omsy i have mentioned period as 2008(year) and month as 4

so now tell me in tcode mmpv what has to be the last value is it 10 or 9(month)

not both of them,

You have to open one by one...

Firstly open for 05 2008 for your co.code...execute it ..check the OMSY it'll now show for the open period...

Then do for 06..then 07 and do it till 10 2008....

Hope its clear now...

hi

it is all depend on ur fiscal year varient if ur varient is K4 then u have give the value of 2008 10 in omsy as ur server date will be 10 2008

if u give 2008 4 then also u have to open the perid manually from 4 to 10 one by one so again ur period will be 10 only

if ur using CIN the 1 month of the fiscal year is april so ur current fiscal year month will be 7 and the actual date will be 10 208

hope it clears

It Depends on Fiscal Year Variant which you are Using.

If you are Using K4 Fiscal Year Variant then Input Year 2008 and Period as 10

Fiscal Year Variant K4 is Calender Year Specific ie Jan- Dec

If you are Using V3 Fiscal Year Variant then Input Year 2008 and Period as 07

Fiscal Year Variant V3 is Not Calender Year Specific ie Mar- Apr

Check in OB29 once

we are making use of variant V3 but i have mentioned the month as 4 so will it create any adverse effect on the company code . or plant

and as this is 10th month so in mmpv what should be the month for closing the period is it upto year 2008 month 10 in the screen i need to mention

Hi,

Check the current period in MMRV transaction which month & year system is displaying,

as per that initalize the same in OMSY as per your period.
