Hello,
Is there a list of users created in R/3 system with their roles to use RFC & IDOC adapters?
Thanks.
Hi Peter,
Adding to the suggestion by other Forum posts, both RFC and IDOC Adapters use RFC as Transport Protocol. Normally there is no general list of users in R/3 system. External communication systems log on to the R/3 system as an RFC user(say RFCUSER). You need to setup a new user, and assign it all the authorizations needed to run the RFC. The authorizations for this user are contained in the profile S_A.SCON. The profile is made up the authorizations like S_RFC, S_DATASET and so on.
Hope this helps.

Sam Raju

Hi Peter,
roles and authorizations for IDoc and RFC adapter depend on which IDocs and RFCs you are going to use. There are some basic authorizations such as S_RFC (for RFC execution) or B_ALE_RECV (for IDoc reception), which are needed for the user. But additionally the user will need sme application authorizations which might be checked inside an RFC or during IDoc processing. E.g. processing an orders idoc will require authorizations to create orders in R/3.
So there is no general answer which users are created for RFC and IDoc adapter, it highly depends on your specific scenario.
best regards
Christine

The report program RSUSR002(run from transaction SE38)..can be used to get a list of users with different selection criteria...
among that, one can select users based on the authorization objects attached to a user account....
For example....for RFC authorizations, the required objects are under the S_RFC...
When you execute the report, there is a group called "Selection by Authorization"....Give appropriate values here and execute report....
