extract XML data to BW

Hi,

I would like to extract XML data to BW, the data is generated by PDF and is stored in ERP. Now the solution is as follows:

1) in ERP, convert XML data to internal table, then extract table data to delta queue;

2) store XML data to a file, then through soap service to send XML file to BW and write it into delta queue;

Except these two ways, is there any other solution? How about the performance of each solution?

Dear Stella,

Normally to Get XML data we can use SAP PI ie SAP XI.

here SAP XI acts as Integration broker between SAP ERP and BI and pushes the data into BI's Delta queue(RSA7).

From there U can Push the data to PSA & Data targets using Infopackage.

Check Info. related to SAP XI in SDN.

The question is that the XML data is generated from PDF form not web service, shall we still use XI to extract the data?
