Hi Guys,
System: BPC 5.1 - Single Server - Win 2003 Std - SQL 2005 SP2
I'm wondering if any has come accross the following events in the application log on the server when starting either the BPC Office or Admin Client (on any client manchine).
I recieve the following events, in order:
Detection of product '{90032DD0-ABEE-4424-AC1E-B076BDD4E350}', feature 'SQL_Tools90', component '{653612B2-2738-4F92-936D-65DE042BD1BB}' failed. The resource '' does not exist.

The initiation of the MSIexec then causes OLE errors on the client side as the process causes the OLE request to time out. Disbaling the Windows Installer service prevents the the timeouts but does not resolve the MSI events from occuring.
I have reinstalled the client tools etc, check registry permissions for various Installer related components but all to no avail.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
James
This may help James but it definitely will help John. I ran into John's exact message at a client site almost a year ago. Making the registry changes suggested in this MS knowledge base article will resolve the problem.

I am also getting a lot of these every day in the event log. MsiInstaller is failing to detect...and the user is our BPC system account.
