Consignment settlement

Dear all

Normally, we do settlement thru MRKO for payment for consignment goods. Can we go thru LIV way to pay to the vendor for consignment?

There is no proper PO to refer in MIRO so not possible to do it by MIRO.

Yes you can settle the consignment vendor payments through LIV.

Removing material from consignment stores or transferring material to your companyu2019s own stock results in liabilities towards the vendor. You should settle these liabilities at regular intervals.

Consignment materials are settled without the vendor issuing an invoice, as the vendor company is unable to track withdrawals directly. The vendor can only manage its consignment stock by taking deliveries and payments into account.

You can initiate payment for consignment withdrawals using the Logistics Invoice Verification application component

To process consignment and pipeline withdrawals, choose Logistics Invoice Verification - Automatic Settlement - Consignment and Pipeline Settlement.

Consignment and pipeline settlement is not connected to the purchasing information system, because the purchase order history is not updated during consignment settlements.

So, You cannot make any net postings during consignment settlement.

You do not expect an invoice from the vendor for goods withdrawals from consignment stocks or a pipeline. Instead you settle posted withdrawals and return deliveries yourself and send the vendor a statement of the settlement. You can perform this settlement periodically in the background. The following documents can be involved:

1. Invoices

2. Credit memos

It is not possible to settle Pipeline and vendor consignment by MIRO T.code.
