Hierarchy and Hierarchy

Dear SAPper,

I am learning about rep manyfacturing,

I came to menu for hierarchy and line hierarchy,

But i don;t get the function.

Could somebody thrw the light for hierarchy and line hierarchy?

What are the function and use?

How it is schedule and how about the capacity?

Dear,

Production lines with more than one work centers are represented as line

hierarchy.A line hierarchy consists of line segments ( work centers)

Production lines are created as simple work centers with wc category 0007/ 0011

to separate REM WC from other WC.

In simple REM Routing will have only one operation.

Production lines consists processing stations and these are work centers..you can assign work centers to line hierarchy from CR21 transaction and you can create line hierrachy with line segments (takts) from LDB1 transactions.

Takts are mainly work centers area in prodcution lines used in takt based planning in auto inductries.

Hi,

I see hierarcy is different with line hierarchy.

From the link you gave i learn about work center hierarchy first

I test creating work center hierarchy for example

FPACK01 and FPACK02 must be group into 1 hierarcy

so i create one more workcenter FPACKGRP to group FPACK01 and FPACK02 and create work center herarcy

FPACKGRP

-

---

FPACK02

-

---

FPACK01

but when i check with CM50 the requirement doesn;t accumulate to workcenter FPACKGRP

and the capacity if FPACKGRP is not double (cap from FPACK01 and FPACK02)

Did i miss something?

Dear,

Check in OPA6 for your overall profile , what is the optional profile

then change the settings in optional profile in OPA3?

Also you can use CM01 transaction or Use CM50...from and to work center you can enter and see the report.

Hi Brahmankar,

I tried with MC01, yes i forgot to maintain in the setting->general.

There i find that for root of the hierarcy you must tick cummulation of requirement.

Yes it work. thanx and i will add point to your help.

I will continue with line hierarcy exploration.

I there is question about line hierarchy kindly help me again int his thread:D

Hi Brahmankar,

I tried to change the settings in the OPA3 , but system is not allowing me to do any changes , because it's SAP defined . can you please tell me is there any other setting to get the cumulative capacity for ierarchy.
