Hi all

Can any bidy explain me about the COA (OB13 ) and Account group (OBD4)

Hi

COA is nothing but Chart of Accounts and created at TCode OB13. Where as Account group is nothing but group of GL accounts kept in a meaningful way. Ex Liability GL accounts are from 1000 to 1999 group and Asset Gl accounts are from 2000 to 2999 group. You can create Account groups at TCode OBD4 for the above Chart of Accounts.

Hi,

COA is a collection of GL. It is assigned to a co code.

Account groups are the groups in which u would like to group the GL accounts. It baiscally defines the characteristics and the number ranges for a said GL

Few eg with regards to inidan scenario are

Current Assets, Loans and Adva

Current Liabilities & Prov.

Equity Accounts

Expenses

Fixed Assets

Income Accounts

Investments

Loans Accounts
