Hi, can anyone advise why std SAP set incoterm in SO header as part of incomplete log? Delivery is created form SO item and incompletion log shd be at item and depends on item category.
Is that other impact if we remove the checking of incoterm at header level?
Thanks
Peter
Dear Peter,
If the Inco terms are common for all sales order items the header level incoterms will be maintained, at this situation if you remove the incoterms at header level no freight will get determined.
If the frieght is different for each item then Inco terms are different for each sales order item, at this situation if you change the header level Inco terms there will not be any impact because there is different inco term maintained in the item level i.e item data -->Billing Document tab.
I hope this will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

HI,
generally we create sales order based on customer's PO. Hence we know the Sold to party, ship to party and the INCO terms. for a single PO, generally inco terms will be same for all the items..
If we are trying to club more than one sales order int one delivery with different inco terms it has go for split into moe than one delivery. for this sake in Std SAP it's made inco terms mandatory in the SAles header.

Rajasekar
