Insert text line in matrix

Hi,

What I am trying to do is the following:

in an AR Invoice after each item line to insert a text line with some specific text.

The problem is that:

1. cannot update directly field of text, I have to update the Row Text Details form (item == 5) and then trigger the click even on the OK button.

2. For the user this is not transparent operation, each time the Row Text Details appears and it takes a very long time to insert 10 text lines.

How can I solve this issue in a more elegant manner?

Dear Irina,

The way you take is the only one as far in my opinion.

UIAPI have to popup a text form to update text, for in B1, the same step will be operated by mouse.

and it did take much time when lines amount is large, but actually, the bottleneck is not text input, but businss logic itself.

in future, if we have a way to improve it or find the real best practice, i will inform you at the first time.
