Planning strategy 52

Hi experts,

Please help,

I was read SAP Library.Where I read following line in strategy 52

"The planned orders have order type (VP). It is impossible to convert these (VP) planned orders into production orders".can anybody tell me what is Order type VP for planned order.Where I can see its configuration.

Hi,

Planned order type VP, you can not convert. This is created when you use strategy 50 or 52.

These strategies are Make to Order. If you create PIR for this material, after MRP run system will create planned order with Order type VP. This planned order can not convert to production order. After getting sale order, it will consume the PIR. Now system will allow to process further this planned order.
