form16 print error

Dear Team

After we have upgraded from 4.6c to Ecc6 when we are trying to print form 16..

PC00_M40_F16, at the report output select line and click on icon Print Form, system throws error

Device type unsuitable for ADS documents

Message no. SPADS011

and no output is issued to the printer.

Thanks for the message.

Regarding your query, you can get the form 16 in Adobe also but for

that you have to configure the ADS(Adobe Document server).

for getting help in installing the ADS you have to raise a message in

component BC-SRV-FP

If you need to print in SAP script, Please mainatain the table

V_T5F99OMFG with Logical form name as

"HR_INTAXF16_2006" and FOrm Group as "INTAX"

After maintaining this please do the following steps:

(1) Execute transaction SM30

(2) Enter 'Table/View' as V_T5F99OCFT

(3) Select 'Maintain' option

(4) Select 'New Entries' option from the Application Toolbar

(5) Enter following entries:

Logical Form Name = HR_INTAXF16_2006

Form Variant = (Leave this field blank)

End Date = 31.12.9999

Start Date = 01.01.1990

Form Type = SAP Script (SSC)

Def. Type = (This field should be checked)

PDF Form Name = HR_INTAXF16_2006

SAP Script Form Name = HR_INTAXF16_2006

Smart Form Name = (Leave this field blank)

(6) Save the entries

hi subramani,

Are you printing forms in Sap script format or Adobe.

If it is Adobe , along with ABAP you have to install java connector

if it is scripts , you have to configuration in tablev_t5f990cft , there you fill form16 form with start and end dates.

Two checks will be needed.

1. Check the ADS connection in T-code SM59 under HTTP Connections to External Server.

2. Check the tcode SPAD to make sure the printer settings and alignement.

Take the help of basis to do the task.
