Hi,

Could some one tell,If we update the IT1005 in compensation management, will the basic pay infotype gets automatically updated or do we nned do manually.

or how does the basic pay or 0014 gets updated when any infotype in compensation management gets activated.

Hello Swetha,

Employee's payroll infotypes (IT 8, 14, 15, etc) will NOT get updated automatically based on the planned compensation in IT 1005.

You have to run a report (ECMUPDATE0008) in order to increase employee's base pay (IT0008) to the minimum value of planned compensation (IT1005).

Regarding IT0014, I don't think if it will ever get updated based on compensation process.

To my knowledge, the standard comp management will only update IT 0008, 0015, 0267 and 0761 and not the recurring payments.

But you can achieve that through a BADI.

Hi

It depends on the Category you assign to compensation plan. These categories are kind of Fixed by SAP Std and also mandatory to assign while you define your Comp. plan. That drives system where to update while activation. So for infotype it refers to Compensation category and for wage type it looks for Compensation component that we config at Plan attributes ->Assign compensation plan payroll data. SAP only delivered 4 categories which refer to Basic Pay (0008), Additional Payments (0015), LTI (0761) or Off-Cycle Payments (0267).

Hi,

The basic pay infotype 0008 will get updated when you activate the compensation process record.

It depends on what wage type you choose for IT0008 or IT 0015. and what wage type you assign to your compensation plan.
