Hi PP Gurus,

Following business scenario I want map in SAP.

BOM created with sales order relavent.

Header material = ABC, base qty 1 set

Child component = X , Qty 1 pc

Y , Qty 4 pc

condition is -

Header material get assembled at customer end means child component X and Y will be despatced to customer and we donot want planned order / production order for header material (ABC)

Sales order created for Header material (ABC) for 10 set at the same time child components as per bom defination gets exploded in sales order. user want to change the exploded bom qty in sales order.

Requireement -

X and Y qty which is appearing in sales order is required for MRP run. Actually right now system is considering bom for explosion because of that we are not getting the impact of changes made in sales order for child components.

Expecting your earlier reply.

Regards,

Abhay

Hi, Please try by creating Header material i.e. ABC as Phantom Assembly.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks,

I do agree that system will not create planned order for header material if I create phantom assembly for it. But system will explode BOM for header material and child requirement will be calculated as per BOM definition only. I want 1st level requirement to be transferred from sales order for MRP run and further system should consider BOM definition for MRP calculations

Hi,

Presently , is the system allowing u to change quantities of 1st level items or not?

If it is allowing, Try by making Item category of Header material such that does not transfer requirements. And make the components transfer the requirements for MRP.

This control should be thre in Item category or Schedule line category. Please try. I do not have access to the system presently.

Kiran.
