Hi ,

We are now installing ECC 6.0 IDES . on a single server . All SAP services should work on the same server only . So Shal i select Central system Installation .

For installation on a single host, select Central System installation in sapinst.

Hi,

What is suitable for your case depends on what has been decided by your client. Get the information about the number of servers they have acquired etc...

In addition to the information given by Kumar, sometimes Distributed System installation is used when you are using virtual hosts for SAP services even though the services are on a single host.

Hi,

Distributed System- When you have your DB and CI hosted on two (physically/Logically) seperate hosts.

Central System - When you have your DB and CI hosted on same host

Thanks
