Run SRM MDM Clients on a 64-bit machine?

Hi MDM gurus,

perhaps a simple question. Is it possible to run the SRM MDM 2.0 Clients (Console, Import Manager and Data Manager) on a Windows 64-bit machine?

The applications are only designed for 32-bit systems, but we would have the possibility to run them on a 64-bit server to increase performance.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Best regards,

Henning

Hello Henning,

Yes, MDM GUI client applications such as Console, Data Manager etc. can be run on 64-bit Windows, including Server 2003.

Hope this helps,

Simon

Hello,

you will certainly use MDIS as import server

I suggest you to analyse this details informations about MDIS, specialy if you are using complex XML (or if you are pivoting in MDM import)

The table below details which file formats are accepted by MDIS on which platforms and whether streaming or file aggregation is supported for the format. In all cases, an import file must be of the same format as the port in which it is placed.

File Format 32-bit Windows 64-bit Unix/Linux Streaming Aggregation
