Hi Naveen,

before that let's review about SAP router string. this article is taken from [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/4f/992dfe446d11d189700000e8322d00/content.htm] described clearly about route permission table explanation. And here is the example : [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/26/95563cda79d734e10000000a11402f/content.htm]

For SNC entries here is some example : [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/82/95563cda79d734e10000000a11402f/content.htm]

And for accessing your SAP server (10.11.12.13) from outside (say internet), you must configure SAP Router strings in your SAPGUI as :

/H/<public IP of SAP Router>/S/<SAP router port>/H/

in example: /H/200.201.202.203/S/3299/H/

and on your SAP Router server, this entry must be valid (not remarked)

S * <your local IP address of SAP server> <your SAP server port>

in example : S * 10.11.12.13 3200

than run SAP router services on your SAP Router. or stop then restart again if still running now.

Note that port number 3200 in example above may be valid if your system number is 00. use 3201 for system number 01. and betweeen each option (S, *, 10.11.12.13 and 3200) there is tab that separated them.

hope it help you.

Hi Naveen,

So just to confirm that your SAPRouter is running on a server in your DMZ (eg can be accessed externally).

To get to your SAP instance on 10.11.12.13 via SAProuter 200.201.202.203, you would use the following SAPRouter string in the SAPGui:

(I'm also assuming that you haven't change the default instance id of the SAPRouter, thus 99 will be used)

SAPGui Settings:

<custom application server>

Description: Naveens SAP System

Application Server: 10.11.12.13

System Number: <sys no.> <--- this is whatever the system number is of your SAP server on 10.11.12.13 (eg 00)

System ID: <SID> <--- SID of the SAP instance (eg R3D)

SAProuter String: /H/200.201.202.203/S/3299

Cheers

Shaun

PS: Also ensure that your saprouttab is setup correctly or else the SAPRouter might deny your connection.

For testing use P * * * in the saprouttab.
