important points for rem

hai gurus,

i am fresh pp consultant,kindly tell me important points to collect

at client end for REM flow .(client is a breweries manufacturer)

Hi Sekar,

All master data in REM like

1. Material master (FERT/HALB/UNBW)

2. BOM

3. Work Center/Production line

4. Routing/Rate Routing

5. Production version

and in some special cases specially in Winery

6. Product group

are so critical for the success of any project. Better to interpret their importance in Blue print phase only. After all for master data your Core team will only be responsible.

Regarding Planning part you have to check the Resource of requirement like Forecasting OR Customer requirement only OR both. If it is third case then I think SOP will be helpful tool for you. Again you have to check with SD consultant to decide the SOP type like Standard OR Flexible (customized). If your client is having Capacity simulation for long-term or mid-term, LTP (long term planning) will be helpful to you. To decide MRP i.e MRP OR MPS type again you have to have interaction with your Core team member (Planner). It will again help you to decide the frequency of MRP run.

Latter you can decide for Repetitive Order Execution. As per my information Capacity planning will rarely come for Winery but again it totally depends on your client requirements.

Wherever question of Cost comes you must have close interaction with your CO Consultant. And regarding Shelf Life Expiry Date you need to check with QM consultant.

After all SAP is fully integrated Software.

Hi,

Important point in REM flow are -

1) Creation of master data

- Material

- BOM

- Workcenters

- Routings / Rate routings

- Production Version

- Product Cost Collector

Doing the prelimilary cost estimate

Mark and release the cost (usually done by CO / Finance persons)

2) Planning

- SOP

- Demand Management

- MRP run

- LTP

Once you get the planned orders.

- Plan thro Planning Table (planning of planning orders and checking the capacity on bottleneck workcenter) - MF50

- Material Staging (bringing the material from central stores to shop location ) - MF60

3) Execution

Daily activity -

- Backflushing by MFBF

Once in a while when mistakes happen -

- Correction of errors generated during backflushing

- Document specific and document neutral reversal

Further you have reporting point backflushing, collective backflushing and other options in execution.

Hi ,

For Rem process remprofile -control data's , production versions

product cost collector, back flushing , those points are important for rem.
