Hi, please give me answers for these question individually,

1) What will you do if u got Update failure?

Q. What will you do if u got Update failure?

SM13 is used to check for fail updates we have various status of an update work process

for example

Cancelled

To be updated

V1 executed

V2 executed

If we see any fail updates first we will check the coloum client, user and which Transaction code he is using, then we will contact the user and inform him that whet ever he was updating with TCode is failed. and he has to repeat the tcode again

Q. What will you observe in System log (SM21)?

Sm21 is used to findout the logs for an individual instance. In sm21 it will record all the error that are taking place, warning, etc..

Q. How to increase tables space, resizing, backups and when will you do? BR*

we do use brtool to increase table space, resizing, bacups in Kernel Release 640 and so on

and in kernel 620 we use sapdba for the same..

Q Various client copy methods and how you will do them? u2013

Local Client Copy we do with the TCode SCCL

Remote Clent Copy We do with the TCode SCC9

Client Export we do with the TCode SCC8 / Client Import SCC7

and Before Client copy we need to take care of these :

1. There Should be not any activity in either source client nor in target Client.

2. Start the client copy with user DDIC or the user with DDIC authorization.

3. There has to be minimum two Dialog and tow Background work process fee on the system

4. Check for the available hardware resourses (Specialy hard drive) for space avalibity

Q. How you will get help from OSS notes?

To fix the problem in the R/3 server we used to download and apply OSS notes.

Q. what is the need of having Development System?

first we need to understand about the landscape

In Single System Landscape we do customization.

And the business is operating and the employees are logged on . if any thing goes wrong with custamization, then the server

will crashed or down. there fore Sap does'nt recommend to go for single System Landscape.

IN Two System Landscape we have two Sever (DEV(Development) & PRO(Production)). one is for custamization ie (Dev) and other

is for Business Operation or prodution operation. In two system Landscape our business is not effected if some thing goes

wrong with custamization or development.

Once the customization is done in the development(DEV) system we will throughly test it before sending to the production

system.

Now , In three system landscape we have three servers, 1. Development 2. Quality and 3. Production.

Whatever we Customize or develop. we will test in the Quality server before sending to the production.

A) Error analysis and proper steps to clear the errors.

A) All are done through BRTOOLS.
