Error: DBCOMMONDBENV_NT_MSS during install of SAP 4.6C,MS-SQL on Win2003Ent

Hi,

We are facing an issue a SAP 4.6C installation on a X86_64 system.

Please help.The Operating system is Windows 2003 server Enterprise edition 32 bit and the database is MSSQL server 2005.

We are in the phase "Install Central and Database Instance"

The error message shown by INSTGUI is as follows.We tried the solution in

Note 948283 - Could not find SQL-Server Instance during R3Setup,eventhough the error message mentioned in the note is different.But it did not work.Please help.

Error: DBCOMMONDBENV_NT_MSS InternalInstallationDo 2 560

The function RegOpenKeyEx with the parameterlist (Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\PRD\MSSQLServer\Parameters) returned with error code 2 and error text:

The system cannot find the file specified
