I want to know what are Selection and output fields?

Dear Virendra,

As per the Screen Modification, Selection Fields are those where you can select the data from the Field, that is with F4. The Output fields are greyed field, where you can only view the data, you can't maintain the value over there.

If your query related to Report Selection, based on the Selection Criteria, you will get the output.

Hi Virendra,

Selection fields are the ones you enter the conditions for the report (e.g. Personnel area = 1000 & payroll period = 10.2008)

Output fields, on the other hand, are the information you see in the resulting list (e.g. Employee number, Net salary , Gross salary, Net Deduction, etc.)
