hi,
i have a solman system and a prd system. here are their current patch levels,
SOLMAN SYSTEM:
SAP_BASIS 700 0010 SAPKB70010
SAP_ABA 700 0010 SAPKA70010
PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 0010 SAPKIPYJ7A
ST-PI 2005_1_700 0005 SAPKITLQI5
SAP_BW 700 0010 SAPKW70010
SAP_AP 700 0007 SAPKNA7007
ST 400 0009 SAPKITL419
ST-A/PI 01J_CRM500 0000 -
ST-ICO 150_700 0006 SAPK-15076INSTPL
ST-SER 700_2006_2 0000 -
PROD SYSTEM:
SAP_BASIS 700 0013 SAPKB70013
SAP_ABA 700 0013 SAPKA70013
PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 0002 SAPKIPYM02
ST-PI 2005_1_700 0005 SAPKITLQI5
ST-A/PI 01J_ECC600 0000 -
with this setup, i am ABLE to generate properly an early watch report for my PRD system. Now, i want to add a BW system to my solman, i would like to generate an early watch report for my BW production. here is the patch status for my BWP server:
BW Production:
SAP_ABA 700 0013 SAPKA70013
SAP_BASIS 700 0013 SAPKB70013
PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 0002 SAPKIPYM02
ST-PI 2005_1_700 0005 SAPKITLQI5
SAP_BW 700 0015 SAPKW70015
BI_CONT 703 0007 SAPKIBIIP7
ST-A/PI 01J_BCO700 0000 -
Is it possible to generate an early watch with this patch level, ST-A/PI 01J_BCO700? or do i really need to apply ST-A/PI 01K_BCO700 or at least ST-A/PI 01J_ECC600 in order to be able to generate an early watch for my BW system?
Right now, i tried to add my BW system in the SOLMAN system but failed to generate an early watch report.
Hope to hear your suggestions. Thank you in advance!

Hi Jebm
Thanks for your detailed informationon your system configuration.
What do you mean with "failed to generate"? What happened, did you receive any error messages?
Best regards,
Ruediger

this might be over too late..
you need at least one st-a/pi package install in the system, but it is always a good practice to have the latest supportpack stack

Hi,
Please use the report RTCCTOOL to find if there are any discrepancies in the Patch level, and also refer the note 69455 for more details on Service tools for Applications.
