Problems reading a file of R/3 system from XI

Hello guys,

I have to read the file test.txt that is in R/3 system.

This file is in work directory DIR_HOME /usr/sap/XXX/DVEBMGSXX/work

If i Put the directory /usr/sap... in XI I have the error on the communication channel monitoring that this directory doesn't exist.

Do you know if any configuration on R/3 or XI is needed? Or maybe I have to put another directory?

Is strange because if I put /usr/sap/tmp I don't have the error, but I have it when I put the path mentiioned before.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

Xavi.

Hi,

If you are using NFS mode, then the file must be on XI server dir.

Chose the XI dir by tcode AL11 and put your file there and test.

/usr/sap/tmp file is having all the rights given for all users.. so u r able to view and use this directory.

reg DIR_HOME /usr/sap/XXX/DVEBMGSXX/work - u contact basis and tell them to provide read, write and delete all authorizations. so that u can access file and read it.
