adding subtype to custome infotype in ecc 6.0

HI All,

I got requirment to create custom infotype,so i created the same in ecc 6.0 without enabling the subtype checkbox...So now i need to attach a subtype without changing functionality.

Let me know How to proceed for this and tell me if there any other procedures for doing the same??

Hi Vinay,

If the time constraint for infotype and subtype are the same then i believe there will be no problem in enabling the subtypes, otherwise the best option would be to declare the infotype's time constraint as 'T'' and gradually declare the subtype constraints separately.If the subtype is a mandatory field then it can further complicate the existing code.

in technical attributes of infotype in Tcode PM01 fill the following fields:

Subtype field = field u want to be used as subtype field from your structure

Subtype table = T591A

and make a manual entries in table T591A

then, regenerate all the objects of infotype by clicking Generate Objects Button.
