Hello SAP Experts,

Please tell me how to create the Functional Specifications for the development of Z-Reports.

Hi,

Through functional specification, your requirement communicated to ABAper.

Note: Actually the format given by ABAP people ask your ABAPer.

Create the Functional specification as follows,

1. Enter Title of the Z Report.

2. Detail Description of the Z report.

3. Enter Zreport output format ALV or Grid or Script or forms.

4. Mention Table name and field name with condition.

5. Report Testing acknowledgment your vs ABAPer.

6. Further modification.

Note Here main important is Table name as well as Field name.

FS format is standard in each company . Ask for FS template to your module lead .

Some of imp fields needed in FS are

(in case of Application development)

Fields

Along with this you can have test cases document for developed report or transaction .

HI

as you are trying to develope Z report,

then you have to give the Spec to Abaper.

1.Take the rquirement from which transactions do youwant to get the data for the report

2.Brief the report

3.Give the details from which Tables and fileds the data has to get into the report

4.Give teh selection screen details and out put column fields detaisl

5.Give the conditions and validations related to report

Hi,

First when the client requirement is not matching std sap then we have to go for Z development.

So for Z development first we have to write function specification and technical specification(ABAper).

In the functional specification u have to mention the over view of the Z developments like

1) Which type of development it is like report, transaction,Enhancement .....

2)Complexity of the development.

3)Over view of the development

4)Get the detail information about the development means what is the in screen and what is the out put screen, attach these screen in the FS.

So depending up on the FS development team is decided.

Its nothing but over view of the development and u have to give the detailed information like logic, table information every thing
