change UOM - no stk ,no PO,PR

Hi guys ,

I want to change the Base UOM of a material from NOS to KG , as it was defined wrongly.

The material is just created,hence there is no stk ,no PO,no PR. There is no conversion factor also.

Still the system displays an error "Routings already exist that are assigned to the material."

I cannot define a Alternate UOM as the stk and PO are needed in KG only.

What can be done. how do i change UOM ,pls reply. thanks in advance.

hi,

Pls again recheck the whether there is any data existing for the same...

If not, then just directly try to change the values in the fields directly in the table...this you can do with the help of the ABAP consultant....

It is stored in MARM table, in the field MEINH and for MAterial number MATNR....

Hi,

Pl. check your routings again for the material in question.

In any case, you can maintain Order Unit in Purchasing View with required conversion factor. In this case PR will not be created in the order unit. But the PO will be created in the Order unit.
