intracompany asset transfer

Dear Experts,

I have triedto transfer asset within company code, e.g: from asset A to asset B (new asset number). My question is after asset transferred, is the old asset will automatically deactivated or not? If yes, from which tcode I could check this issue?

Hi

Check the field Deactivation on... at Asset Master : AS03/General Tab.

I've checked the field before submit this request but the 'deactivation date' is blank..

Hi,

When you fill in values in the tab partial transfere then the asset is not retired! (even 100%)

You cab do a retitement again with the transaction ABAVN - Asset Retirement by Scrapping. When there are no values on the asset it will place the retirement bit and create no postings.
