I am trying to configure a UME from a standalone J2ee to use an AS ABAP as Data Source from a double stack. on netweaver 2004 S

MY CRM system is a double stack with an add on standalone J2ee. The standalone J2ee uses the UME database only as data source and the doublestack uses ABAP as datasource.

How do I make the standalone J2EE to use the doublestack ABAP as datasource

Hello Clairie Ndayiziga

The various supported installation scenarios for UME are better described in the SAP Library (http://help.sap.com -> SAP NetWeaver (your version) -> Security -> Identity Management -> User Management Engine -> UME Configuration -> UME Data Sources).

Also please refer the primary SAP Note 718383 - NetWeaver: Supported UME Data Sources and Change Options. This is really very helpful. Actually the data source for UME is decided before/during the installation, since although it is possible to change the data source,it is not recommended, or not possible to perform in some cases. The note will gives you the details of the various scenarios

Hope it will help

Thanks
