Distributed Java Add-in Install Issue

I have a distributed system running on AIX

One server is the sap global host, oracle database instance and a gateway (no ABAP instance)

Second server is the ABAP Central Instance/Message Server

I am trying to add the java stack. I have installed java add-in SCS on the first server that is the sap global host and database server. When I try to do the java add-in database instance, I get the following error after the profile input.

"SAP system is a Java standalone system. Cannot switch this to an ABAP or double stack system."

I was using the following instructions from the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR2 ABAP+Java on AIX: Oracle Installation Guide

1. On the SAP global host, you run SAPinst and install the Java central services instance (SCS).

2. On the database host, you run SAPinst and install the Java Add-In for the database instance.

3. On the central instance host, you run SAPinst and install the Java Add-In for the central

instance.

How do I complete step 2?

I was working in SAP security but project specific work had switch me to BASIS.

Here is the scenirio:

1. Need to install SAP NW BI 7.0 with EHP1

2. Database Oracle 10.2.0.4

3. Oracle in AIX system

4. SAP instance in Wind 2008

5. I have completed DB installation.

6. Run the Prerequsite check in AIX as ABAP system.

7. Now plan to install SEPARATE stack AS ABAP and AS JAVA as SAP recommends here with BI content ADD on.

8.Please advice the installation step by step Guide here

I promise to share the doc with screen shot after complete and would submit in forum for next generation.

Hi,

For JAVA Add-in installation

1) Your ABAP system must be based on NW 7.0 SR2

2) Make sure that the parameter compatible is set to 10.2.0 in

the file init<dbsid>.ora.

I shutdown everything and ran cleanipc and ipcs and removed anything under the sidadm account. I deleted all of the sapinst* from /tmp and then started the system. I then ran the installer again and got the same error
