CR 2008 compatible with Bus. Objects Enterprise XI R2?

Hi all, we're currently running Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 SP4 and report developers are using Crystal Reports XI. We have are looking at upgrading to CR 2008 and eventually moving to Bus. Objects 3.x. We're wondering though if CR 2008 is compatible with our current Bus. Objects version though. I haven't been able to find a concrete answer in the Crystal documentation. In addition to the reports being able to run on BO we also need Crystal to still be able to use an enterprise connection and save reports directly to BO the way it works now. Will that work or does Crystal 2008 break anything?

While you can save docs to BOE XIR2 from CR 2008, this is not how our product is tested. Any new features of 08 will not be available on the XIR2 system, and the ability to do this is only allowed to ease migrations from my understanding.

You should not get in the habit of saving CR 08 to XIR2 but if you need to during a migration it shouldn't break anything.

Thanks for the reply Tim. Yes it would only be temporary running CR2008 with XI R2.
