Yes,

Thats possible. You can syndicate Material and classification data into a single XML (Customized XSD) file from MDM which will then reach R3 as two different idocs. (Obviously with SAP MDM PI breaking them into two different message types).

Hi Sonali,

If you are using business content, then you can very well have

material data as well as the classification data in the same XML but different segments. This can be syndicated using the syndicator.

Once the XML is generated, it can then again be processed by PI to generate two seperate IDocs as per the requirement and sent back to ECC.

Hope it helps.

Hi Soanli,

Business Content is a predefined repository provided by SAP for various standard master data business objects like cusotmer, vendor, material etc.Its an .a2a file that you need to place it in your MDM servers archieve folder.Once that is done, you can simply unarchieve it using the MDM console GUI and that repository will be readily availabe for use.Depending on you requirements you can also cusotmize it.

You can also generate the XML schemas from it.

Hope it helps.

What segment does the classification data reside in on the business content for Material? Also, have you managed to get the mdmgx extractor working for the classification data. I am not getting any data to extract.

Any help appreciated.

To answer this question, are you referring to classification as UNSPSC or eClass type classification, or are you referring to the classification data in R/3, that is used to populate the classification view on the material master?

Thanks.

Hi Sonali,

In case of your requirement not only MDM but PI will also play a significant role. You can send one xml from MDM having material and clasifications but at PI end there should be 1:N mapping defined to separate those messages.
