Crystal reports 2008 SP1 Lockup with Right Click

Hi,

I am using Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 and everything works fine except if I right click on any field on the form there is an instant lock up that even prevents me from using Ctrl-Alt-Del to get to the task manager. I have to turn the computer off to reboot. This behavior is present even when the only program running is Crystal Reports. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no evail and this happens on any report - new or old. I am using Vista SP1 32 bit and I have applied all the available microsoft patches. Thanks - Rick

Search for DEP and apply those settings. Once SP1 is installed it should resolve the problem and you can turn DEP back on.

I am having the extact same problem. I have a brand new install and this happens to me. It doesn't happen on every right click though. I install SP1 and it still happens. I installed both Hot Fixs for SP1 and it still happens... This is really upseting me...

Hi Richard,

Is this Lock up of the machine specific to one single user or multiple users.

When ever you right click on the object do you have any errors prompting.

Else enable the traces and check if any reason available for this.

Try to check only with Crystal 2008, don't install any service packs on the designer.
