installing b1 standalone with sqlexpress

Hello

Am trying to install server component onto my pc so i can "have a play" with B1 before our true installation date. However the installation does not "see" my copy of MSDE which, again, is installed on same pc. It is a new version of msde called SQLEXPRESS. I can connect to sqlexpress via "sql server mangement studio express" so i know it is really installed!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I uninstalled sqlexpress and reinstalled ................ set sa password to B1Admin and .................success!!

HI Steve,

What version are you installing? Check the release note of the version to see if MSDE is supported.

did you install the SQL native client ? without the system won't connect to the MSDE.
