Material Type change control not allowed.

Dear All...

Is it possible to control Do not allowed to change material types...Any standard settings is in SAP.

Please Resolve My Question..

Usefull Results will be Rewarded.

Hi,

If the two material types have either different quantity/value updating or a different account category referecne, then till not allow to change the material type.

Hi,

This can be done through Authorization control by the Basis team. You restrict the users for MMAM transaction, this will resolve your issue,

There is no other controls in the configuration to restrict change of material type to my knowledge.

For Ex. I have material A This material type is Fert. Its Having Stock 500 Nos. Now i want to change material type As Fert.

Hi,

The material type cannot be changed if following things are there.

Valuated stock exists

Account determination for the two material types differs

Purchase orders exist

The two material types have either different quantity/value update

The two mat types having different account category reference.

You can restrict changing the material type throuh authorisation object M_MATE_MAR.Here give the activity 03 only and remove all others.

Now A material type is ROH its having stock is 100 nos.

its Account category reference is 0008

and valuatioin area also difference and class also different.

But Now im changing that Roh to Halb its Allowing to change..

Halb Account category reference is different but its allowing to change
