I get the above error message when I try to make the GI of a BOM item. The problem is in the header item since the components of the BOM work perfect. The quantity in this BOM item is 1 but the picked quantity is 0 and can't be changed

What can I do ?

Were you facing problem with component or header material ??

Also If the "Picked Qty" is in grey mode and you would like to edit, go to T.Code ovlp, select your item category and tick the box.

the problem is with the header matterial which is a TAP and not with the components of the BOM.

Sorry I should have also asked one more question. In the sale order, whether the header material and component are exploded ??

If not but your requirement is to explode the header material with BOM Component, then the item category group

- for header material should have been LUMF and item category should be TAQ

- for sub component, it should have been ERLA and item category should be TAP

I have LUMF with TAP in header

and Norm with TAN in components

Is this wrong?

The bom is being exploded
