Hi,

what is in T030 the valuation modification ?

What are the advantages of the use it ?

Hello

Valuation modification is nothing but the valuation grouping code you assign to your valuation areas in OMWD.

It helps in grouping together valuation areas having identical material valuation.

The advantage of using valuation modification is that you need to maintain the G/L accounts for transactions in OBYC for the combination of valuation grouping code/valuation class.

Suppose we have 3 plants and in 2 plants the material valuation is similar and the postings are to be done to the same accounts.But in the third plant it should be to another set of accounts.

In that case we assign the 2 plants to one valuation grouping code and the other one to another valuation grouping code.

And T030 is standard accounts table.

....and Val. Areas are the plants if the valuation area is plant level.
