How to remove infotype from 'Direct Selection" in PA20/PA30

Hi

How do we remove some infotypes from the Direct Selection area of PA20/PA30. I need it removed both from search-help and when I type in the infotype number. Probably a simple question, I just forgot how this works

Hi Kirsten,

You may deactivate that infotype for that specific country grouping through:

IMG: Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Customizing Procedures -> Infotypes -> Assign Infotypes to countries.

Thanks. It is a custom infotype not even in that table - but I guess I can enter it and set it to 'not allowed'.

Hi.. why not try to restrict it with Authorizations. that will be a more dependable answer

what do you want to achieve with this requirement?

If you don't want users to access a specific IT, you need to adapt authorizations.

I know this will be a way of handling it. But many of our users have read access to all infotypes (restricted of course by other authorization fields).

The particular infotype is obsolete - this is why we want it removed (a custom infotype).
