Hi Surya Lolo,

As I mentioned in your last thread, to sucessfully install and connect to fixed Assets addon, please checnk the following point.

1,Item Group 100 exists in the Database.

Please run following query, to ensure that the item group 100 is

defined: SELECT * FROM OITB T0 WHERE T0.ItmsGrpCod =100

2,The DIAPI is on the same patch Level as the Common DB.

You can check the DI version from C:/ Program Files/SAP/SAP

Business One DI API/DI API 2005/,right click on SAPbobsCom2005.dll

properties >version tab: special build description.

3,The tax code which is required for your localization exist in the

database. (Note 770851) https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/770851

If all above settins is OK, please follow the steps in note 819501: How

to clean client after corrupted installation. Uninstall the Fixed Assets

and install the latest version PL 101 (B12005FIXASSETS01P_101) for a try.

There is a known issue with PL100. https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1241417

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/819501

**Please noticed that if there is any other add-ons installed, please

delete the part of Fixed Assets in AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file only

, not the whole file. Otherwise, the other installed add-on will be

affected.

Hope it is helpful!

Dear Zhang and Jitin,

Thanks for your advise.

I've try and check for :

1. Item Group, it already has item group 100.

2. Tax group, since my localization is Australia then the default tax code P1 (input tax) and S1(output tax) are there.

3. I already delete all files in %temp%.

4. I already delete AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo from SAP Bussiness One folder.

5. I already check SAPbobsCom2005.dll special build description is 46. Same as my current sap 2005A sp 01, pl 46.

6. DI API service already start.

Installation is successful.

But stil appear error message when I try to connect :

Set up function of Add-on Failed (D:\Program Files\SAP\Sap Bussiness One\AddOns\SAP\FixedAssets

\BA_FixedAssets.exe)

Initialization failed.

Please help.

Hi Surya,

Please go to %temp% after recieving the message and check in the SAP Business One Log directory the SAP Business One Log file and go to the latest entry in that file, it should contain some information as to why it's not connecting successfully. Can you see anything useful in there?

Matt

Hi Surya,

Ok this sounds really obvious but it seems there is a problem with the DIAPI. Is there another version of the DIAPI on this machine in the SAP directory? First thing I would do is to uninstall the DIAPI from add/remove programs, then delete any DIAPI folders in the SAP directory to clear out any possible old DIAPI installed versions. Restart the machine, then re-install the DIAPI of your patch level. Try and connect fixed assets again after this and see what happens.

If it's still not working we will need to go back to the beginning and thus the following information is needed.

Is this a new install of fixed assets or have you upgraded FA version recently?

Is it happening on one machine only or others as well?

Is the version of Fixed assets the same on this machine as on the others and on the server?

Which version of SQL are you using?

Kind regards,

Matt

Hi Surya,

The tax code for Australia should be Output:S1, Input:C1 .

Please double check.

Dear all,

This problem finally has been solved.

Thank you so much to all of you who already helped to find the problem.

Finally this problem solved.

The cause of the problem is the version of FA module from existing database is not same with the version of FA installed in my computer. Finally I used B12005FIXASSETS01P_85-20001689. And it's run.

Many thanks,

Surya

Dear,

please check that the BA_FixedAssets.exe application exists under

(c:\programfiles\SBO2005\SAP\SAP Business One PL25\Add Ons\SAP\Fixed

Assets\ BA_FixedAssets)

i.e. the mentioned path. If this is not the case please deinstall

the addon (Note 819501) and install it again. Please check also

that Di-API is on the same patch Level as the Common DB.

In case, while launching FA Add-on, you get an error message,

check if the fiscal year is defined in 12 periods.

Fixed Assets will accept only calendar years with 12 periods or

non-calendar years as long as they have 12 periods and begin on the first of a month.

If you check note 819501, at a certain stage, it advises to delete or

rename AddonsInstall and AddonsLocalRegistration files located in

C:/ProgramFile/SAPManage/SAPBusinessOne/Addons/SAP.

This means delete the add on and reinstall it after a corrupt

installation.

Also you could try and change the entry in the Tools > UserTables >

BFEXTDBVERSION from 'Upgrading' to 'Installed'. Then logout and login

to Business One and restart the addon.

Please have also a look at notes;

770851 / 816384 / 814163 / 809601
