SBO Mailer missing

Hi Experts,

We are using SAP B1 2005B we recently upgraded to PL40, the upgrade was successful but SBO mailer is missing in server suite manager(service manager) but other services like EWA,backup,DI server are present.

Kindly help.

Hi Rozario,

You could add the mailer service by going to " Add or Remove Programs "

and choose the option modify which will display all the options, select the

mailer option if it is not selected and install it. otherwise, you need to re-install

the server tools setup from the patch setup files and select the mailer service during

install.

If you did the update in standard process, the mailer isn't installed. Please run the upgrade tool again and choose manual update. there you can elect the mailer.

Thanks for ur reply...i ran the upgrade.exe manually again, it did not ask the mailer option and the installation completed.

I restarted the system i find no changes...kindly reply

Which files do I have to run again and how?

sry i unclearly explained. If you run the update process of server tools again, there are 3 options. You should choose "Modify". You get a select-tree In the next screen, where you can select the mailer daemon.
