Dear All,

I have trouble setting up a printer in SPAD for hp deskjet D2300 series.

I was able to print reports, the problem is the formatting. The fonts are bigger, the lines was replaced by 0s, and paper orientation is always portrait.

Here is my setup:

Device type: SAPWIN (also tried HP Deskjet 500, 600C, and 850C).

Device class: Standard printer

Spool access method: G: Frontend print with control technologies

Host printer: __DEFAULT

OS: Linux (Xubuntu)

GUI: SAP GUI for Java 7.10 rev 6

Did try this on Windows OS using SAPWIN, method F:, and __DEFAULT

using SAP GUI for Java and was able to get the desired result.

I'm guessing my problem is the device type. I tried those who are close to an HP deskjet but nothing works.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Rayel

We had lots of trouble with that D* series of printers. The printer internal PCL fonts changed and we were not able to get a valid output with that series.

Device type POST2 is the closest that we get. We were able to print our reports though there are some reports where you need to preview first before printing. And this works for all D2XXX series that we have.

Thank you.

Hi,

Please consult with your printer provider or your hardware administrator to do the orientation setting and font setting of the printer.

He will do the required setting.
