What is CJ32 used for?

Former Member

Hi,

I would like to know what CJ32 (Change release) is for. How is it different from post supplement / return for budget?

Thanks!

Vivian

Hi,

CJ32 is used to release current budget.

this is one more scenario provided by Std. SAP to control budget .

You can config.release budget by OPSA9. by ticking release indicator.

if u r using release budget then however u have Million$ budget as current budget but u can't use a single$ for commitment(for PR or PO) without releasing current budget.

one more important reason for using relese budget is for authorization pupose.u can give autorization of CJ32 to ony peson responsible.

i.e.it is totally different from post supplement / return for budget----->by post supplement / return for budget u can increase/decrease budget. whereas by release budget u can't increase/decrease budget only u make it usable.

hi,

original budget and other budget updates (budget transfer, budget supplement, budget retrun) directly affect the current budget..

however you can configure the system to check against budget release. if this is so, you need to release the current budget using CJ32 in order for actual costs to be posted.

budget release can serve as another control for costs in the project.

hope it helps clarify your question

Hi Vivian,

When u release the Budget u comand the system to release the specified budget to the Perticular Project.

eg u have allocated 1000$ to a perticular Proj , but released 4000$ the u can utilise only 4000$ for project execution the remaining 6000$ can be utilised after the next release .

Where as Suppliments are the auxillary budgets u get in terms of revenue Generation frm a perticular proj which are added to the original Budget .
