BO Central Management Console (CMC) Infoview extremely slow

Former Member

We had restarted the BO server as well as the Web server last weekend and since then logging into CMC and Infoview has been extremely slow. Viewing folders, instances every action is very very slow.

Any idea what is going on? Restarted the servers several times and hasn't helped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Are you sure you don't have tracing enabled on your server? The most common way to configure this is to add "-trace" to the commandline of one or more services. This will have a severe impact on your server performance and should only be used for a limited time.

Kind regards,

What's the heap size on Tomcat?

Is there any information in the stdout.log?

Thanks for your reply.

I checked stdout.log,

here is what a portion of the file have in them

log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.catalina.session.ManagerBase).

log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.

You should install [lambdaprobe|http://www.lambdaprobe.org/] to monitor Tomcat. This will give you much more information and much faster.

The log4j message simple means a log4j file is not created. There are no real errors here.
