Identify function within function-group that generates Process Type "DIA"

I've got a log that shows a number of background processes that are in a process state of "DIA" (Dialog) with the program being 'SAPLSAL2" (SAL2 - function group). My assumption is that one of the functions within group SAL2 is putting the process into a DIA state. I've scanned the functions within the SAL2 group and found none of them call a screen.

The problem is that we've reached a limit (increased the DIA process limit a number of times) on the number of DIA processes. There are so many processes in a DIA state that other process and users are queueing up. Any ideas on which function might invoke a DIA process state?
