I installed Integration Kit for 3.0 on a XI 3.0 deployment. After the installation, I was unable to start the BW Publisher Service. I also do not see the SAP Authentication drop down in CMC.
I followed all the pre-reqs.....any idea what could be wrong? How can i troubleshoot this?
Thanks,
Kashif
Did you go to the Central Configuration Manager and start it?
You should also mod the properties and set it to automatic

Michael,
I did modify the properties to make it automatic and started it in CCM but it stayed yellow for a while and then stopped. I don't have any idea why this could have happened. I have another server configured the same way and it works, but this one is being a tough one...
Thanks for your response.
Ingo,
Thanks a lot for sharing your blog. it is really awesome.
I was able to start the BW Service by modifying the registry, which was really neat.
I however, do not see a SAP dropdown when I launch CMC. Also, when I login to CMC as Admin and I go to Authentication>SAP page, I get 'Page can not be displayed'.
Any pointers to resolve this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kashif
These are the steps I took:
Pre IK Installation steps
1. Extracted the contents the SAP Java Connector 2.1.8 into a folder on the server.
2. Since the SAP GUI is already installed, the file u201Clibrfc32.dllu201D should already be present
in the u201CC:\windows\system32u201D folder. Rename this to u201Clibrfc32.dll.oldu201D and copy the
new one from the folder in step 1.
3. Copied the u201Csapjcorc.dllu201D file from the folder in step 1 to the u201CC:\Windows\system32u201D
folder.
4. Copied the u201Csapjco.jaru201D file from the folder in step 1 to the u201CC:\Program Files\Business
Objects\TOMCAT55\common\libu201D folder.
And added to the Java ClassPath in Tomcat. Then I installed the IK.
I assume the SAP Kit is installed ?
Yes.
Did you deploy the SAP Java Connector files ? (32bit)
If deploying means what i mentioned above, then Yes.
can you see a folder "SAP" in the webapps folder from TOMCAT ?
No.
Thanks for your help!
Kashif
Yes, all the folders came back.
I do not have PartnerPaltformServices folder in webapps. I have one called PlatformServices. Should I redeploy that?
One other update....though I do not have SAP Authentication in the CMC drop down, I was able to import roles and stuff in CMC>Authentication>SAP, which means the integration is working....it is just the SAP Authentication in CMC Authentication drop down which is not there.
Thanks again for all your help Ingo! You're a star:)

I copied the the missing .war file from another server and deployed it. I still do not see the SAP dropdown in CMC, but the connectivity works..
I am able to import roles, I am able to connect through Designer and stuff.....
Is there any significance of having the SAP dropdown in CMC? If not, I won't worry about it.
Thanks for your help!
Kashif
I don't see SAP Authentication there either:(.
I guess I would have go for a fresh OS install and re-install Business Objects and SAP IK on it. I ran into similar issues on another server because there was too much junk on the server.
Even on this server, I had to manually deploy .war files to get the folders in tomcat/webapps.
