Dear Gurus

We got the following problem

We are allow to post in closed periods. For example. In Ob52 we have

+ 8 2008 12 2010

A ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

D ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

K ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

M ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

S ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

and for example we if we post with document date 06/06/2008 --period 06 the system allow us to post.

Wich would you think is the problem??

Thanks in advance

jose

You said doc. date is 06/06/2008, but what is the posting date on the posted document - I guess it is within the range you have in OB52. For example, you can receive a vendor invoice dated 06/06/2008 (which is document date) in 08/2008.

Srikanth Hello

The posting date is also 06/06/2008. We get the error warning F5000 .

F5000 is just a warning that posting period is adjusted in line with the posting date. F5201 is the message that should get triggered ("Posting period & & is not open"). Please check table T100S (using transaction SM30) to see if you have an entry for application area F5, msg. no. 201. If yes, what are the values in Allowed field, Standard field and check whether the checkbox 'Switch off' is checked. Then check view V_T100C (using SM30) to see whether the message (F5 201) is switched off .

Dear Srikanth

We don´t have an entry for application area F5, msg. no. 201. Shall we create the entry??

Thanks in advance

Hi José,

If there is no entry, that means that the system acts in standard way and should issue an error. I suggest to open an OSS on that.

Hi Jose,

I agree with Eli. In our system too, we do not have an entry and system issues an error (which is standard as Eli said). Please do not create an entry - contact SAP.

By the way, did you check if you have alternate period in OB52 in which users with a specific Authorization Group can post (field AuGr in OB52) as suggested by Inderpreet above?

Hello Everybody

We solve it with the aplication of Note 1008234. To find out we use debbug, abap, and a little of magic.

Hello José

if the fiscal year is equal to calendar year i agree to Eli - contact SAP.

If the fiscal year is different from calendar year maybe it is correct that the system allows a posting. It's not the calendar period - it's the posting period which is maintained in ob52

Your example Example:

A ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

D ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

K ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

M ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

S ZZZZZZZZZZ 8 2008 12 2010

calendar SAP

05.2008 07.2008

06.2008 08.2008

07.2008 09.2008

08.2008 10.2008

09.2008 11.2008

10.2008 12.2008

11.2008 01.2009

12.2008 02.2009

correct maintenance of posting periods if calender 06. is closed:

A ZZZZZZZZZZ 9 2008 12 2010

D ZZZZZZZZZZ 9 2008 12 2010

K ZZZZZZZZZZ 9 2008 12 2010

M ZZZZZZZZZZ 9 2008 12 2010

S ZZZZZZZZZZ 9 2008 12 2010

Please check, hopfefully it's the solution.

Best regards

Many Many thanks for the helpfull answers( every one deserved points) , we will go on from here. If we found a solution we would let you know..but i believe it would be solved by a note in OSS.

Hi José,

What document is it: a regular FI document or SD billing document? What version of SAP do you use?

Hi,

Jst see whether you has the concept of the authorised group.

If yes then see what values come under period 2

It should be checked that user who is authorised by the user group can post the entries in dates mentioned in period 2.
