Production Batches in APO

Dear Experts,

We are thinking of implementing production bacthes in our R/3 implementation. it happens that we are doing so to be able to move stock in quality inspection. We manage quality lots by QM and we are able to move the stock because it appears as unrestricted in MM. The issue we are facing is that we dont see the "Availability date" of the lot for planning.

I guess we would have this issue, both planning in R/3 or in APO. In our case, we have an APO system.

Did you ever have this kind of problem? how did you solve it?

Does anybody now if it is possible to work with batches in APO? Do you know when I can fid this kind of information?

Thanks for your quick answer. I already checked saphelp on batches (we can't use inspection lots as they can't be moved between Locations ), but as usual it is not very descriptive.

Does any have experience on working with batches?? any recommendation?
