Hi,
Can anyone advise me regarding delta queues? I have never had any problems before with volumes but I want to avoid a possible issue if I can.
Has anyone ever experienced extractions failing because the delta queue is too big? (ie. too many records).
If so, could you explain how many records were deemed to be 'too many' and how you resolved this?
Thanks
Scott
Hi Scott,
You can have this problem with the logistics datasources when updating RSA7. It depends on the update method that you use. You will find more detailed information in the 'solution' part of the note 505700. For example if you are using 'Direct Delta' update method please note the following:
A maximum of 10,000 document changes (creating, changing or
deleting documents) are accrued between two delta extractions for
the application in question. A (considerably) larger number of
LUWs in the BW delta queue can result in terminations during
extraction.

Des.

Delta queue in RSA7 wont have issues due to volume as long as you pull deltas to BW periodically.
May be in your case the issue must be in LBWQ which has all transaction records,if not pulled via job control it occupies space heavily.
You might have activated a datasource which starts bringing data into LBWQ but not have not yet done init.
Check this.Also check SM13 queue.
Hope this helps.
