Sample for Sorting Columns in a Webi document

Hi all,

I am trying to find a sample or code snippet showing how to do the Sort on a particular object in a WebiDocument.

The idea is to use the Report Engine to open a Webi document, set the sort and to then read the recordset (Data Provider).

Is there a sample somewhere I missed?

Additional question: Would I need to "refresh" the document to get the data provider sorted? or would the applyFormat perform it?

Thanks a lot for your input.

Dan's saying there's two levels of sorting.

If you define sorting in the Web Intelligence report, that will apply to the displayed report. The sorting is done at the report server. The document sorting doesn't respect the Data Provider sorting.

If you modify the SQL for a Query in a Data Provider, then sorting is done on the database. You can then access the Data Provider, and export (for example to CSV). This will respect the sorting in the SQL.

Sincerely,
